How To Improve Battery on Android Marshmallow Tips & Tricks ?

The most important thing in your phones is the RAM management. Go to Settings > Memory > Memory used by apps, to see a list of all your memory consuming apps. Tapping an entry will show you detailed info and give you the option to force stop the app if necessary. It may take you some time to learn everything about it but the results will be better, in your favour.

2) Uninstall apps from home screen

You may never have noticed but keeping apps installed on your home screen consumes a lot of battery too. You can uninstall an app on your home screen or in your app drawer simply by long-pressing it. At the top of the screen you’ll see options for Remove or Uninstall on the home screen, or App Info and Uninstall in the app drawer.

3) Disable Notification Peeking

This feature was introduced in Android Lollipop entered the notifications used to linger on your lock screen and main screen. Better is to turn it off because it really consumes battery painfully. Go to Settings > Sound & Notifications > App Notifications, then select the app they’re coming from, and switch off Allow peeking. That’s it! You’re done with it.

4) Activate Developer Options

These options are a bit new for Android Marshmallow. You can enable developer options by going to Settings > About Phone and tap Build Number seven times until a toast pop-up notifies you that you are now a developer. Back up a step and you’ll see Developer options listed right above About Phone. The developer options give you a more deeper look into your phone where you can customize a few tweaks and fix some unnecessary things.

5) Manage your apps

Unlike previous Android versions, Android Marshmallow doesn’t break your apps list down into tabs for ‘Downloaded’, ‘Running’, ‘All’ and ‘Disabled’. The ‘Running’ tab appears as a RAM manager and ‘All’ and ‘Disable’ options in a drop down menu, accessible once you’ve disabled at least one app. Here you can actually manage your apps well, take care of the space that they consume as well as disabled or uninstall any unnecessary app.

6) Disable live themes and wallpapers

Alright we know that you love these things in your phone but believe us, they too consume a lot of battery, even when the screen is off. Better is to switch to a normal wallpaper rather than keeping a live one.

7) DON’T install any battery optimiser

Now if you are having issues with your phone’s battery, still don’t install any cleaner or battery optimiser because they are the one who consume most of your battery. Your phone is better without them. The problem with them is that they keep running in the background continuously and consuming up a lot of RAM.

8) Try reducing your brightness and unmark Auto Brightness

Normally people like Auto Brightness because the screen adjusts itself according to the light available and makes looking into the screen comfortable but that is the thing that consumes a lot of battery. The sensors have to work long for adjusting your brightness. Try keeping it a little low than normal.

9) Activate ‘Doze’ in your Marshmallow

Doze actually is a good feature provided in Android Marshmallow. It activates when your phone is left idle for a period of time, while unplugged and with the screen off. It will stop some CPU and network activity operating in the background for some Android apps, thus saving battery.

10) Disable Synchronisation

We know that sync in your phone is a better option to receive emails and other notifications instantly but who would like to let your phone do it every now and then and get you a lot of notifications from different apps? It really consumes a lot of battery. The better alternative is that you manually open an app and start synchronising it so that you receive notifications only when you want to and save battery too.

Try these options. We’re sure that they will help the battery in your Android Marshmallow to drain at a lower extent.
